A diagnosis can explain a great deal. It can also bring relief, grief, anger and a whole new set of questions about the past.
There is no correct reaction
You may be looking back at school, work, relationships or family life and seeing things differently. You may be relieved to have language for your experience, while also angry that nobody noticed sooner. You may be unsure what changes now.
For some people, the question is not “What is wrong with me?” any more. It becomes “Who am I when I stop forcing myself to be someone else?”
What we work on
- Making sense of the diagnosis without turning it into a new identity you have to perform.
- Grief, anger and self-compassion around what you have carried.
- Talking with partners, family or work about what you need.
- Building a practical life that reflects what you now understand about yourself.
You can begin before you have it all worked out
This work is also for people who are questioning ADHD or AuDHD and want space to explore it carefully. Individual sessions are £65.
